Program.ar - a Sadoksy Foundation’s initiative - is a national program committed to democratizing Computer Science content knowledge to all Argentinean Schools. During the past decade Program.ar has reached to:

Leadership in CS education policy and program development

Increasingly, more national and international organizations reach out to us for advice and technical training. These organizations include: Department of Education in different Argentinean states, UNICEF, IIPE UNESCO, Uruguay (Plan Ceibal), Chile (Kodea), Costa Rica (Omar Dengo), Paraguay (Paraguay Educa), Brazil (Center for Educational Innovation).

Communication contributes to developing a vision that CS education serves two purposes; developing a critical, participatory and sovereign citizenship and contributing to a value added economic development.

CS EDUCATION PROGRAM AND TEACHER DEVELOPMENT
Remote Computer Science teaching program

Since 2018 Program.ar offers weekly synchronous Computational Thinking lessons to 16000 elementary school uruguayan students. Teachers work remotely and students received a video conference from the Argentinean CS teacher while in the class with their classroom teacher. This program contributes to ease the lack of CS teachers in the country.

Program.AR has strategically worked with Public Universities to offer teacher professional development programs with several goals: 1) developing local expertise on teacher training that can remain beyond a government term, 2) promoting research groups on CS education that can help with program analysis and advice 3) recognizing the content knowledge expertise in our country, 4) increasing our capacity to train teachers across the country
